James Hershauer
James C. Hershauer holds a B.S. in engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. and D.B.A. in production management from Indiana University. He has published numerous articles on operations management including such topics as scheduling, project management, master production scheduling, productivity improvement, productivity measurement and quality. He has published articles on information systems including such topics as expert systems, systems development processes, negotiation support systems, information search strategies and information feedback. He has taught more than 25 different courses in the managerial decision sciences ranging from freshman level through doctoral seminars. These have included courses on topics such as operations management, management science, information systems, simulation, human decision processes, decision support systems and research methodology. He has served on more than 50 doctoral dissertation committees and chaired many of them.
Hershauer has published in a wide variety of journals including Management Science, AIIE Transactions, Omega, OM Review, Quality Progress, Interfaces, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Information & Management, Public Productivity Review, Production & inventory Management, Computer Security Journal, Behaviour & Information Technology, Personnel Administrator, International Journal of Purchasing & Materials Management, among others. He also has coauthored three research monographs on productivity and quality.
