On April 27, 2006, Paul Rothstein, founder of InnovationSpace, was honored posthumously with the President's Professor award. Rothstein, one of only four ASU faculty members to receive the award,
was recognized for his work in creating InnovationSpace. According to ASU President Michael Crow, President's Professors “are extraordinary teachers and scholars, engaging students both within and outside the classroom and bringing innovation to their teaching as well as to their research.”
